IT'S A BOY!!
Well, what can I say, where do I start this blog? If you don't know by now it's a boy and you know who is really excited about that. On Friday the 19th, Scott and I went to CCMC to get our ultrasound done to find out the baby's sex and to see if there was anything wrong. WOW!! I loved it. I saw the most beautiful thing in my life and it filled me with such emotion. It was really something to look and see the shape that HE had and the way he moved. He was really moving around a lot. He did not want you to look at his face for too long. He was flipping upside-down, sideways, and all around. Margie, the ultrasound tech, asked me if I felt anything, which I didn't. She told me not to worry, that I would feel him very soon.
I wish you all could have been there, we saw the mouth, hands, legs, arms, brain, and the heart, which was beating at 157 beats per minute. The spine was all in tact. The hands were balled up in fists the whole time. He is already so precious. Margie gave us a due date of Sept. 30, but Dr. Rosen says the baby is a little bigger then most so that's probably why the date was bumped up. The measurements for the baby were all normal. The whole process was amazing, I wish I could do it as a career.
Also, we got some other very terrific news, Scott and I got a house. We received news late last night that our bid was accepted for the property on Taylor Dr. Believe me, yesterday was a very big day for the both of us. I could not wait to tell everyone the good news. Other then that I still feel great, my pregnancy has been perfect. My belly is noticeable now and it looks like I am carrying low.
I hope that everyone's Mother's Day's was nice. I had a very nice day myself, Scott gave me two books and a boppy pillow (pillow for comfort). It was very humbling to receive anything. I also got some thoughtful things from my friends, which I will never forget.
Now that we're halfway through the pregnancy, I'm starting to get nervous. Just thinking about all of the things that we will need..I get very overwhelmed. But in all honesty, I'm lucky to have a guy like Scott. Not one second goes by that I don't think about how his life has been shook up and flipped around since he has met me. He took his life, threw it away, and started a new one with me. I could not have asked for a better man. We'll talk to you all soon.

Well, Friday came and I knew Scott & Lauren were going to the doctor's to find out the sex of the baby. I was on pins and needles until the phone rang and I saw it was Lauren calling. I answered the phone saying Hello Mama waiting on Lauren to say it's a ?????. But Lauren being her typical self said Hey Mama what you up to? She tried to keep me in suspense but I was having none of that. I answered her question with so come on tell me is it a boy or girl. (I was hoping it was a boy. I had just seen you day's before at Briana's 1st birthday party and then in the middle of the week. I felt your belly and said," You are going to have a boy!") Lauren said it's a boy. I was so happy. Scott is going to make a great dad....playing football, hockey, baseball and video games of course. Lauren a great mom....kissing the scrapped knees and making the boo-boos go away. The house is great. I can't wait to decorate the baby's room with you....we might let Shannon help us carry stuff but she sucks at painting. (remember what her room looked like?) Well, I wish you nothing but the best for the future. I know I'll see you soon....so ta-ta for now.
Love Always,
Melissa
