Not too much to report lately. Lauren has been feeling ok and I've been dealing with the emotional rollercoaster, but overall everything is going good. We are in the process of looking for a house and getting pre-qualified for a mortgage, and that whole process is a bit overwhelming.
Lauren has been reading just about every pregnancy book and website. Pregnancy Weekly states:
Lauren has been eating healthy and drinking a ton of water. I know its been tough on her going cold turkey on smoking and drinking. She hasn't had morning sickness yet, we have heard conflicting stories about no morning sickness means its a boy or a girl(my Mom told us this weekend that she didn't have any morning sickness with me). Lauren goes to the doctor for a check up on 3/21 and well keep everyone updated.
Again we like to thank all our friends and family for the love and support, it makes this whole process easier knowing that we have so many people pulling for us. Keep the comments coming, it really brightens our day to see what other people are thinking and what advice they have to share.
How far along we are: 8 weeks
What I am feeling: that I should've been saving money all these years
What Lauren is thinking: What we are going to do because Widener doesn't offer paid maternity leave
Baby stats: Stated above.

Your baby's fluttering heart would show up on an ultrasound performed this week. He or she is between 0.56 and 0.8 inches from crown to rump - or about the size of a grape - its liver is churning out large amounts of red blood cells, and will continue to until the bone marrow forms and takes over this function. Week eight marks the beginning of a very busy developmental stage: its face continues to change as the ears, eyes and the tip of the nose appear; the intestines start to form in the umbilical cord; and your baby's teeth begin to develop under the gums.

I had no morning sickness either!!!
I had absolutely no morning sickness but my friend was sicker with each boy she had, so the old wives tales prove nothing except something fun to try and guess at!
I get morning sickness sometimes, but it's only when i drink too much.
walklett's post gave me morning sickness.
(dang,i wish i'd thought to say it first)
