6 1/2 Weeks
Hello everyone!! Hope everyone is doing great! Well I have some new news for everyone I went to the doctors today and everything is doing fine. The baby is getting big, it's now 13mm. (from just one week ago 4.2mm). So I think that's great. Goot came the the doctors with me he saw the baby's heartbeat and the doctor says everything is good and healthy. But I also lost 3 pounds (YES!) :) That was exciting. I guess my strict diet is doing us good. You can tell that Goot was a little nervous but I think he did great in there with me. I wish you all could have been there to see the baby, it's so weird how science and technology are hand and hand. Goot and I are trying to get the ultrasound pictures up here so you all can see. Well I've been reading everyone's thoughts and comments and I 've never heard so many nice things about us and it's really touching. Everyone that knows me knows I'm crying now so thank you from the very bottom of OUR hearts.
PS: Keep the comments coming they're a big inspiration and in some cases they're a laugh(Matt)!

Well, What can I say but I have known you for a very long time now Lauren and when you told me you were pregnant the only thing I could think of was WOW her and Scott are going to be great parents (and I think I asked you around 50 times, "Are you kidding me?") I know when you both found out you were probably thinking of things like....What the hell are we going to do? Lauren I know you know that if you and Scott ever need anything I'm just a phone call away and less then 5 minutes from you all. Having a baby is the best. It's having your child look into your eyes and knowing that he or she loves you like nothing else in this world. I'm gonna make a Great AUNT and Jim a Great UNCLE. I hope I have as big of a roll with your baby as I am having with Chris & Shannon's daughter. I hope we can hang out more with the kids playing in the pool and going for walks to the park. Kids grow up so fast and before you know it they are off to college and getting married. Cherish every moment as if it were the last and write stuff down in a journal. This way you will have great stories to share later in life with your little one. Congrats to you both. Lauren I love you like a sister. Best wishes to you both for your future can only get brighter from here. No one is born a hero, it just turns out that way and that is what the two of you will be for your little one.
I really wish I could express my feelings as well as you two have. This is so amazing for me to be able to read how you are feeling, and what your friends think. This is helping me to feel so close to the both of you. Thank you so much for sharing. Love Mom
Congratulations Scott and Lauren!! A baby is always a wonderful thing, even when they aren't planned. Just so you know welcome to the October 11th due date club (ME, Wen, and now you), must be a family thing. By the way Mikey didn't come on the 11th, he finally showed up on the 12th and well you know about Erin. Just relax and enjoy the pregnancy!
I never did post an official comment to you guys so here it is CONGRATULATIONS! I'm truly very happy and excited for both of you. Goot telling me that Lauren is pregnant were the last words i ever imagined coming out of his mouth, but the more i thought about it the more it made sense. You guys are great together and i can't even begin to explain the huge positive effect you've had on Goot, Lauren. There's actually something in the fridge now and you can find a clean dish to put it on, it's unbelievable. But seriously, anything you need you got.....except changing diapers, i don't do diapers.
